It was a first take on the Laguna El Sol yesterday.  Thought we could travel to the lake by taxi the whole way but were stopped at the gate and told we had to walk 2 kms over the lip of the volcano to get to the lake. We walked to the top of the lip and looked down  on the two lakes El Sol and El Luna - spectacular - but it started to rain. We realised we were'nt fully equipped for the cold high altitude conditions so we decided to return in a couple of weeks and headed back to the cab. Travel to that point had also taken longer than we expected so will stay closer to the site and start earlier.
